Bio

Rosa, CEO of Saniyah Place LLC, is a social change consultant and sworn-in Superior Court Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Expert. Her work for clients such as the Georgia Public Defender Council includes testifying as a domestic violence expert in criminal trials and other court processes. She is also a doctoral candidate in Social Work Organizational Leadership and Policy at Clark-Atlanta University. Earlier, Rosa worked for the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Domestic Violence Trainer, Expert, and Advocate. In this role, she strengthened bystander interventions, contributed to fundraising for the office’s Domestic Violence Unit, and collected and analyzed 10 years of county domestic violence homicide data to improve practices.

 

Rosa started her career at Harbor House of Central Florida as a Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinator. She subsequently worked at the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, managing a 12-million dollar annual budget for three federal grants, and monitoring grants in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Children and Families, and Office of Violence Against Women. She then worked at the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence as a Training Coordinator, developing workshops, trainings, and online modules, such as Domestic Violence 101 and Legal Advocacy.
