Our Values
Agency
Every community is the best judge of its challenges, needs, and capacities. In our projects, we center our clients’ agency, expertise, and lived experience, and take our cues from them. We position ourselves as thought partners and collaborators.
Anti-hierarchy
While responsibility can create hierarchy, we have intentionally built a flat, psychologically safe organization where every type of work contribution is valued and respected. We are deeply committed to one another’s development, success, and wellbeing.
Equity
We pay attention to power differences and documented problems in our sector, and act to navigate them. For example, across the Global North/Global South divide, our team members are compensated equally.
Growth
For us, feedback – critiques included – creates opportunities to improve and grow. We relish growing and learning with and from our clients.
Integrity
Honesty, sincerity, and decency matter greatly to us. We do what we say we are going to do, and we build trust by doing so.
