Bio

With a profound commitment to community well-being and equity, Genevieve has built a distinguished career in the Battered Women’s Movement and nonprofit management, rising from frontline advocacy to organizational leadership. She began her work as a court advocate, supporting survivors navigating difficult and often dangerous systems. Over the following decade, she advanced through a range of roles and programs, giving her a deep understanding of how mission-driven agencies operate, where gaps emerge, and what survivors and staff need to thrive.

Genevieve’s professional experience spans grants and compliance management, stakeholder and community engagement, organizational culture development, and the creation and implementation of trauma-informed training programs. She is skilled at shaping environments where staff feel supported, survivors feel respected, and systems function with clarity and accountability. Her academic background, which includes a BA and an MBA from Rollins College, provides a strong foundation for her work in both strategy and operational effectiveness, grounding her survivor-centered perspective in rigorous management practice.

In addition to her programmatic and administrative expertise, Genevieve has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to collaborative leadership at the systems level. She served as Vice Chair (2018) and then Chair (2019) of the Orange County Domestic Violence Task Force, helping guide coordinated community responses and cross-sector initiatives aimed at improving safety, access, and outcomes for survivors. Across every role, she brings a steady focus on equity, partnership, and the practical work of strengthening organizations that serve those most impacted by harm.
