Genevieve is an experienced domestic violence practitioner. She began her career at Harbor House of Central Florida, a 150-bed high lethality shelter, where she worked from 2013 to 2021.  Genevieve served as an Intimate Partner Violence Advocate, and subsequently, as an Early Victim Engagement Manager.  In the latter capacity, she managed four programs, oversaw a 12-strong team, and maintained compliance, deliverables, and reporting for seven grants. She also developed and facilitated internal and community training on intersectional trauma, violence, and programming. Genevieve has since worked at Valencia College. At the College’s Peace and Justice Institute, she managed the Creating a Resilient Community project. Over 500 professionals and 250 organizations across Central Florida participated in the project. It aimed to provide access to trauma-informed training, meetings, and conferences to strengthen the community response to violence through collective healing, empathy, and connectivity.
