Susan brings more than 25 years of nonprofit fundraising and philanthropic leadership experience to Sharity, with particular expertise in planned giving, complex charitable gifts, collaborative funds, and engaging high-net-worth donors and families.
Her career includes serving as Director of Estate & Asset Services for the American Cancer Society’s national planned-giving business unit and as Vice President, Regional Account Executive for Fidelity Charitable. She has also held senior fundraising roles with Michigan State University, Florida International University, Mercy For Animals, 1% for the Planet, and the Mind & Life Institute. Her planned-giving experience includes securing gifts of $6 million and $10 million, directing university planned-giving programs, and advising donors on charitable vehicles, donor-advised funds, and estate-planning strategies.
Susan has helped raise approximately $200 million over her career, including leading a $50 million medical school capital campaign, and developed co-funding strategies with collaborative funds, family offices, foundations, and corporate partners. She helps organizations connect philanthropy to mission, build sustainable donor pipelines, and strengthen the systems, cases, and leadership practices that support long-term impact.
