Sašo Venovski

Bio

Sašo is a sociologist who teaches courses in Introductory Sociology and Social Problems at Valencia College. The American Sociological Association shared his most recent writing as an illustrative example of a compelling op-ed. Sašo’s research work dates back to his 1981 to 1984 tenure at the Institute of Sociological Research in Macedonia, where he served as a Research Assistant. In this capacity he worked both as a project leader, designing questionnaires, training interviewers, and drafting final reports, and as a field team leader, supervising interviewers and coordinating data collection.

Sašo subsequently worked in the private sector in the UK and US. This experience included six years at MESA Software in London, acting as the sole distributor for the US-headquartered financial software company, and 13 years as a commodities broker. As a broker, he founded a financial futures firm that went on to manage $25MM in client assets and collaborate with clients and staff across the US, Europe, and Asia. After retiring as a commodities broker, Sašo became a licensed real estate agent in the State of Florida.
