Bio

Lisa Brinker is a public relations professional with experience in nonprofit, private, and government sectors. She began her career as a reporter at the Peru Tribune, a daily local newspaper. She then served for more than five years as Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge’s Communications Director. In this capacity, she championed a 310 percent increase in online revenue through program development, social asks and fundraisers, and email campaigns, drove a 204 percent increase in website traffic, and expanded online donations during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic by 259 percent. Most recently, Lisa worked as a communications and public relations strategist on a COVID-19 contract for the California Department of Public Health. She developed COVID-19 response public health education materials.
