Sharity’s latest collaboration with Florida’s Children’s Home Society is the Partners for Safe Families Domestic Violence Program. One of the oldest and largest child welfare organizations in Florida, providing services spanning community schools to foster care. This program’s focus is piloting evidence-based domestic violence assessments in child welfare work. Following a successful pilot phase, the project is being replicated with full funding from the Florida legislature. The University of Central Florida is conducting efficacy research to determine if it qualifies as a national best practice.
