How do you move people from being spectators in an audience to engaged and donating?
Ask Me Anything Summary
To convert someone from an audience member, who applauds after you speak about your nonprofit, to someone who actually follows up, joins in and eventually becomes a donor, you have to think like a business person.
Think about a pipeline. What are the action steps you can take to engage someone in your organization? For example:
- Make sure that you have some sort of leave-behind peace that allows them to take a tangible action they can do to help your organization.
- The action might be taking a training or collecting an item that you need for your organization.
- Make it really simple for them to do, so you can thank them again.
Taking some simple, tangible steps after you give your next speech will help you engage more donors and bring more people into your pipeline.
