What is the difference between public and private grants?
Ask Me Anything Summary
What is the difference between public and private grants? public grants are grants that come
from government sources. so they’re usually grants that have a lot of strings and contracts and
requirements attached to them.
Those funds that come from private sources could be anything from individuals to foundations,
to corporations. but the big difference is private is going to be usually less restrictive and less
paperwork and public is going to be more government, more contracts, and a lot more hoops
that you have to jump through.
So if you’re going to be getting into public funding, you need to really be prepared to make sure
you have the infrastructure in place to do the back-end part of the grants, not just deliverables
on the money. if you have any questions or you need help writing that public grant, because
they are really different than writing just a regular proposal, feel free to give us a call.
