Last week: Across the country, laws are being proposed that will go into effect if Roe v Wade is overturned. Many of these proposed laws would ban abortion in rape and incest cases. What if lawmakers focused instead on stopping these pregnancies from happening? No matter your stance, pro-life or pro-choice, in the case of rape and incest (impregnating one’s child) the solution is simple: stop men from raping women and girls.  Pass laws with mandatory life sentences, eliminate statutes of limitations, implement look-back laws and lift time limits on civil lawsuits for institutions that protect rapists.  Get the conviction rates up from the abysmal .05% to 80 or 90%.  Let’s start by stopping men who rape.  That is the real issue here.
