Caleta Scott
Caleta Scott serves the Fort Pierce community as a consummate professional and a champion for the under-resourced in her community. Scott is currently Manager of the Grants Administration Division at the city of Fort Pierce, Florida, where she focuses on community revitalization and economic development in her beautiful coastal town. As a public servant, Caleta does more than managing the city’s State and Federal grant programs, she is the Revitalization Coordinator, the main contact for all things Lincoln Park, the city’s historic African-American neighborhood. No matter which hat she wears, her goal is simple – to inform and empower. Caleta is committed to engaging her community in dialogue about viable solutions for the problems that face people of color. She believes that education, empowerment, and fostering a strong network are key to an equitable future. Caleta believes in the shared responsibility to heal past trauma and raising the collective consciousness of the black community. Trained in trauma-informed outreach, Caleta intends to obtain her Yoga Teaching certification this year and share the healing modality with the young and old. Prior to relocating to her hometown, Caleta established a successful career in staffing, sales, and operations management while living in Marietta, Georgia. After 14 years in the hustle and bustle, a few snowstorms led her back to the Sunshine State and her grandmothers’ love. Caleta received her BA in Business Administration from the University of Florida. She is a Certified Public Pension Trustee, Florida Redevelopment Association – Redevelopment Professional, a Founder of Lincoln Park Young Professionals (LPYP), Leadership St. Lucie graduate, and a member of the city’s Economic Development team. A self-proclaimed yogi, she enjoys working towards a plant-based, minimalist lifestyle and prefers exchanging positive energy. Raising her daughter, Monique, 24, is her greatest accomplishment.
